Since January 2nd 2008, the ministry of Culture and more particularly Christine Albanel its minister have decided to experiment ‘free entrance’ in several national museum for young people aged between 18-25. Of course this applies to the 4th ‘arrondissement’, therefore the Pompidou centre is now free for the 18-25 every Wednesday from 6pm until 9pm.
This is a very good scheme, which permits our youth to discover the permanent contemporary art collection. It is important to put an emphasis on the Pompidou centre, as its contemporary collection is one of the richest in the world.
We also are very pleased to inform you that Christine Albanel is number 2 on Vincent Roger’s list for the town Hall election in our arrondissement. It is a great opportunity for the ‘4eme’ that Christine Albanel well known and appreciated from the art community well before she took her responsibilities at the ministry of culture. We also invite you to take a look at Vincent Roger’s site in which a video -in French- of Christine Albanel explains her choices to be part of project 4th arrondissement.
